I have chosen to have a tree planted as part of the NHS Woodland Lincolnshire programme because I think to have them all growing strong together will be a lasting visual in the future of the way the NHS stood proudly and strongly together with everyone helping each other. I really felt for my clinical colleagues as I witnessed the pressures that they were under. I am proud of the L&D Team who adapted and assisted where we could with fast track inductions to get the desperately needed staff in quickly, coordinating fit testing for FFP Masks, manning the HWB lines and anything else the ICS needed us to do. Working from home was isolating and challenging, finding yourself working long hours unable to make yourself switch off and walk away at the end of the day. I have never felt prouder of working for the NHS than when stood on the doorstep listening to your neighbours' appreciation and Lincoln Cathedral shining brightly, lit up in blue.
