The experience of the pandemic as a nurse will live with me for the rest of my life. Some of the heartbreaking things we lived through during that time I will take to my grave. I don't think I am the same person now as I was before this.

But, despite some of those terrible times, there was joy, happiness and unity in a time of uncertainty. We pulled together and looked out for each other.

I personally appreciate so much more in life and intend to live the rest of my life humbly and recall these times as a reminder. A reminder of how very precious life is and that we are only borrowed to each other, so we must make each day count.

"Eat the nice food, drink the nice beverages, spend time with those you love the most, travel, make a bucket list, watch the sunrise and the sunsets, be thankful for each day and be kind...always be kind to yourself and to others; you just don't know what another person is truly going through"
